Architectural manifesto
for collaborative virtual worlds (Metaverse)
A collective structure
Far from being the gurus of a dogmatic way of thinking that would like to be the alpha and omega of the rules of conduct to be adopted by all those who build online, we wish to initiate a collective reflection around the notion of architecture for digital worlds.
We want to bring in a common vehicle - a way of imagining and sharing - all those who have a link with all forms of production (construction, writing, drawing, urbanism) that gravitate around architecture.
Our ambition is to create a collective dedicated to the imagination of new architectural paradigms.
This collective will be open to all actors in the metaverse value chain, from the platform, through the technical solution and SaaS, to the users. We hope that the plurality of actors present in the network will be its strength. This mix of forces present will aim to facilitate the transmission of upstream and downstream information. The members of the research group will be able to submit their expectations to the platforms and the platforms will be able to use the group as a privileged ear on the users' desires.
Why think about a new architecture
In the current context, we are in demand to see the emergence of new experiments that take into account the technical possibilities offered by the platforms of digital worlds that can now be described as multiverses.
Their non-physical nature leaves an ever wider field of expression: architecture is no longer based on the laws of physics but on other characteristics that bring it closer to the design of video game experiences. If in our daily life gravity is the queen of all things, of time, of light, of the way we move, of the maintenance of our solar system, in a digital space it is only a parameter to be activated in the settings menu. This is why we propose a new architecture of anti-gravity where each object and each thing frees itself from the design norms of a constraining reality.

A manifesto to increase
Far from wanting to close the subject with this first edition, we are already planning to give it a second life - and who knows how many more - through new editions augmented by the intelligence and experimentation of the community. Our ambition is none other than to increase the list of signatories and to affirm, through the publication of these new versions of the manifestos, the strength of our DAO and the weight of our ambition to make these digital spaces poetic, dreamlike and sublime.
